About the Fine Arts Course in Indore
Fine arts education at KID begins with drawing. Drawing and sketching train students to see proportion, form and tone accurately, and to put what they observe on paper with confidence.
Observation is developed further through portrait study, still life study and live drawing. Each asks students to look carefully at a subject — a face, an arrangement of objects, a live subject — and record its structure, light and character.
Painting builds on this base. Colour theory explains how colours relate and mix, painting techniques cover how a painting is built up from the first layers to the finished work, and textures and brush handling give students control over the painted surface.
The learning is practical throughout. Students develop their skills by drawing and painting regularly, so their ability grows with each piece of work.
